Drive in Style is a fully licensed business as required by Italian law. All our cars are registered as vehicle for hire and with a comprehensive insurance coverage, to comply with the current regulations.
Which areas do you cover?
We trailer our cars almost anywhere in Northern and Central Italy, although we cater weddings primarily in Tuscany, Umbria, Le Marche and Emilia Romagna.
Can a classic car travel any distance on any road?
Usually yes. Vintage cars are less adapted to long motorway transfers, whilst classic sport cars cannot travel on dirt track due to their low ground clearance. We are familiar with most Italian venues and their access roads, so if you are just unsure check with us first.
What‘s included in the rate?
We arrive to the bride residency about an hour prior to the ceremony time. If you want us to do so, we can dress your car with ribbon and bows at no extra charge. Your English speaking chauffeur will be formally dressed for the service. The car will then take the bride to the ceremony and wait for the bride and the groom until the ceremony has taken place. The car will then be available for a photo shooting tour and finally will take the newly wed couple to their reception venue, where the service ends. There are 100 km included in the rate, starting from the bride pick up point. The only extra charge is the transportation cost from our base to the area where the wedding takes place. In case you need the car to wait for you after the reception, this can be made by previous arrangement. The cost will be Euro 40 per any extra hour or fraction, starting from the arrival at the reception venue, assuming your journey is still within the 100 km range.
What are the driver requirements?
The vast majority of our clients cherish the cars as much as we do, but as a general rule and as in any car rental you will need to have a valid driving license, passport and a credit card. The hire cautionary deposit varies according to the car value and is held as a pre-authorisation against a credit card, in case of damages to hired car or traffic tickets. The driver must be aged between 26 and 75 years. Remember that most of our cars have manual box, with no power assisted steering.
How about transport for guests?
In case you need transportation for the groom, best men or bridesmaids, we are happy to offer several matching vehicles (Rolls Royce Silver Wraith and Bentley SI, Alvis TA 14 and Alvis TA 21, Bentley SI and Bentley SIII, VW T1 and VW T2, etc.). And in case you need transportation for your guests we can offer you an original VW Splitty 9 seats minivan for a stylish classic transfer. Please remember that a 30% hire rate discount applies to any extra cars booked for your wedding!
When do we pay?
A 50% deposit of all rental charges is required to finalize the booking. The balance will then be due the day of the service. Payment can be made through credit card (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx), bank transfer, Pay Pal, while the balance can also be settled by cash directly to the chauffeur.
