Why Drive in Style?
Drive in Style was founded by Claudia and Danilo’s desire to share with others their passion for collecting prestigious classic cars, as well as their love of the Italian lifestyle and beautiful countryside.
Because we are the owners of all our vehicles, our service standards are uncompromising, and our highly qualified mechanics are able to offer expeditious roadside assistance at no additional cost to you, anytime needed. In addition, our automobiles are equipped with GPRS devices, to immediately locate you in case of an emergency, and our personnel are English–speaking.
We will be happy to fully plan your tour, or you may choose to enjoy Italy entirely on your own…and at your own pace. No matter what you choose, we are at your service. You may rest assured that our deep knowledge of unique places to visit and stay, plus the most scenic and less traveled routes to take, will make this the trip of a lifetime!

Where are you based? Can you deliver your cars?
Drive in Style is based in Central Italy, in the heart of the Apennines, right at the border of Tuscany, Le Marche and Umbria.
No matter where you plan to go, we’ll be able to deliver the car to your arrival airport or hotel in most locations in Northern and Central Italy. What’s important is that we don’t charge for delivery and collection of our cars in case of a minimum hire period of 1 week! Please ask for details.

How are your tour organized?
Our tours are individual self driving experience tailor made upon our guest wishes. Sometimes our tours are designed in conjunction with some special events (the Mille Miglia race, an important art exhibitions, etc.). Sometimes they are focused in the area of Italy you want to visit (Chianti, Val d’Orcia, Maremma in Tuscany; Montefeltro in Le Marches; the green heart of Italy in Umbria;). Sometimes they are simply suited to your mood (a romantic weekend? a lonely and stunning drive across forgotten Apennines valley on a scenic winding roads?). As we always design tours with our guests in mind we strive to offer you not only the best places to visit, but also the most unique places to stay, because after a day of driving in style you will need to rest in style!

How can I enquire for a tour?
Just give us your dates of stay, your preferences (Art, Nature, Food & Wine, Beaches, Discovery), and your preferred form of stay (Hotels, Relais, Medieval B&B, Farms) and we will design a tour just for you. In your road book you will find the most scenic routes, a visitor's guide, the calendar of events, our selection of local restaurants, trattorias, bakeries, gelaterias, traditional shops, beauty and health centers, golf clubs, etc. All your senses will be delighted! Should you prefer to have a personal driver instead of driving yourself, our multilingual experienced guides are at your disposal.

Can I just self drive the car on my own?
We will be happy to fully plan your tour, or you may choose to enjoy Italy entirely on your own way and at your own pace. No matter what you choose, we are at your service, to make sure this will be the trip of a lifetime!

What are the driver requirements?
The vast majority of our clients cherish the cars as much as we do, but as a general rule and as in any car rental you will need to have a valid driving license, passport (only for non EU licenses) and a credit card. The hire cautionary deposit varies according to the car value and is held as a pre-authorisation against a credit card, in case of damages to hired car or traffic tickets. The driver must be aged between 25 and 75 years. Remember that most of our cars have manual box, with no power assisted steering.
Please note that our cars can’t be driven anywhere south of Rome due to insurance limitations.

Can I take the car outside Italy?
Yes, you can take the car to France, Switzerland, and Austria by previous arrangements. Please note that our cars can’t be driven anywhere south of Rome due to insurance limitations.

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Sure! If you are bored to death of offering aftershaves, scarves and ties is probably time to consider one of our gift vouchers. The cost is flexible according to your budget.

How far in advance do I need to book?
If you want to be sure that “your” car is available for your very special day the sooner the better.
Otherwise with 18 cars in our garage we’ll probably be able to accommodate you even a few days before your hire period. Please keep in mind that May, June, July and September are our busiest months. In case you wish to book one of our tours and needing accommodation, August is by far the busiest month of the year. Drive in Style is a seasonal operation and as such we are open for business from April through October.

How can I book?
Tours: You can send an enquiry form with all your preferences. We'll usually be back with you in 24/48 hours with a tour proposal.
Self drive: just enquire with us for the availability of your selected car.
Either case we’ll send you a booking form to be filled in and we’ll require a 50% deposit of all rental charges. The balance will then be due one week prior to the rental commencement date. In case of cancellation up to one month prior to rental commencement date, the deposit will be fully reimbursed. In case of cancellation after 7 days prior to the rental commencement date, no reimbursement will be allowed.

What’s your pet and smoking policy?
Unfortunately due to safety reasons and allergies pets are not admitted on board our cars.
We appreciate your keeping the cars a smoking free environment.

What happens in case of a breakdown?
Our cars are maintained no expense spared, but since some of the cars are nearing their 85th birthday, there is the possibility that something might go wrong. In any case our cars are equipped with GPRS devices for immediate localization of the vehicle. In most cases we’ll be attending you directly with our rescue vehicles. But in case the AA (in Italian ACI) will be able to attend you more promptly, we’ll go for this option. In any case we’ll be replacing your car with a similar one, if we won’t be able to fix yours on the spot.

What is a GPRS system?
All our cars are equipped with a GPRS (Global Packet Radio Service). This is a tracking system which will immediately locate a car in case of an emergency or theft. This gives our client a total peace of mind in case something unexpected happens.

What’s the basic insurance coverage including?
The insurance coverage includes any damage to third party (including passengers of the hired car). The damages on the hired car are covered only in case of third party fault. Extra insurance coverage is available upon request including fire and theft.

Do you have more cars other those on your website?
No. All our cars are of our own property and they are registered and insured as cars for hire as required by Italian law. Be warned against illegal classic car hirer!
